Elaboration of 3D fiberglass and cattail panels for exterior masonry cladding in social housing

In the research, 3D panels were made with glass fibers and cattail for the cladding of a social housing, working with analytical and deductive methods, after a collection and analysis of relevant information, finally the characteristics and properties of the materials used for the 3D panel were established. To verif y the aestheticity, quality and low cost, different panel prototypes were made to compare and determine an innovative and accessible material for the implementation in buildings, once the prototypes were obtained, the prices were compared with other types of coatings existing in the market and with similar characteristics. Finally, through the elaboration of details and construction sections, the process for the implementation of the panel in a social housing project was determined. In terms of the panel finish, the applicability was determined for both exterior and interior walls, since the support surface does not require a specific finish, since the texture improves adherence, thus reducing the final installation time and costs.
