Abstract

In Latin America and the Caribbean, as of 2013, the new proposal of the Orange
Economy has been analyzed as an axis of development in the economies of the
countries of this region; being approached by the Inter-American Development
Bank (IDB); a proposal launched by the authors Buitrago and Duque (2013) in their
work “The Orange Economy, an infinite opportunity”; The problem discussed in the
research is how the Latin American region and Ecuador can include this new proposal
within the development of their economies, taking as an example the case of Colombia,
Chile, Mexico and other countries; to open the range of opportunities to the dynamism
of the entrepreneurship of the companies you consider within the orange universe and
to consolidate the local industries so that they are competitive at the international
level; The objective was to be based on the model of Latin American countries that
have already included the development of orange industries, with the creation of
laws, opening of credits, government aid to new companies in this sector ; It was a
qualitative exploratory research that was based on studies by the Inter-American
Development Bank, Latin American authors on the advancement of this theory and
the contributions it has made to the region in economic matters; The conclusions are
that in Latin America, due to the similarity of their countries in companies, culture,
climate, government and forms of production, they could access this type of economic
development to be implemented within the analysis of the Governments of the moment
in support of the new undertakings that should give added value in order to grow
in Latin American countries, with economic policies to increase support for these
industries in a better way and that have a higher percentage within the Gross Domestic
Product (GDP).
